Dead Love: Zombies at the Super Bowl?

Yes, indeed. According to ZIA sources, the New Directions cast from the popular series, Glee, recently gathered on a football field at Cabrillo High School, just south of Los Angeles, to film a post-Super Bowl special in which they will become zombies in order to serve up their version of Thriller, Michael Jackson’s zombie dead-Xtravaganza. For those of you unfamiliar with the series, New Directions is the Glee Club of the show’s William McKinley High School.

The special is scheduled to air post-Super Bowl on February 6th and it might finally inspire profound speculation about the similarities and differences between couch potatoes and zombies:

  • Both zombies and couch potatoes could be called the living dead.
  • Both zombies and couch potatoes gravitate toward others of their kind.
  • Zombies are more active than coach potatoes, though not by much.
  • Zombies go after their tasty treats; couch potatoes wait for the snacks to come to them.
  • Zombies and couch potatoes spend a lot of time on autopilot, but zombies are at least looking for brains.
  • Couch potatoes are of the vegetating persuasion; zombies are generally beastly.
  • Zombies have been known to eat the much slower couch potatoes.
  • Apparently both zombies and couch potatoes enjoy spectator sports, although zombies tend to want to join in.
