Dead Love: Zombie Fashion Blackout

Black is back? For some of us it never left.

Still, the fashion pundits insist that it is being reinvented … AGAIN … on fall runways in NY by the likes of Catherine Malandrino, Donna Karan, and Diane von Furstenberg. And stylists are talking about how to wear black without looking too severe … or is that severed?

Pish! Black never goes out of style, but if a bunch of fashionistas want credit for digging up what they think is dead and and calling it fresh-as-a-daisy, no worries. We, the perpetually benighted, dead-love  it when they unearth one of our moldy-oldies and call it NEW. Their “novel” advice is to mix it up with leather, lace, fur and colors like midnight and oxblood. Yes, that’s what we’re talking about: zombie fashion—reborn, reformed, reworn. Lovely!

Thanks to our head ZIA operative and fashionista-in-training in New York for advising on another brilliant and staggering style innovation from the halls of haute couture. Gosh, what will they think of next? Vintage?

I read the fashion link and… it seems they don't really care for all black outfits, but have to deal with the “fashion trend” so come up with strange suggestions. Kind of weird, if you ask me.
