Dead Love: Zombie Ball and Crawl Creeps up on Visalia

Our creepy crew is just DYING to get to California’s Central Valley on Saturday, October 2nd, for the Visalia Zombie Ball and Crawl.

I’ll be there, of course, to uncover the undead action for The Slice. And we will be giving away several copies of DEAD LOVE to a fortunate few.

Zombies will stagger down Mooney Boulevard at 6:15 pm, headed for Howie & Son’s Pizza, 2430 South Mooney Boulevard, where the ghoulish will gather for a ball sponsored by the Central Valley Horror Club.

The fiendish fun begins with music by Glowjob and a zombie bellydance performance by Madibella of The Horror Dolls. After that, the assembled can witness the crowning of the the Creepshow Queen. Semifinalists have already made an appearance. and you can vote on the Zombie Ball and Crawl site. There will also be a Creepy Cadaver Contest (anyone can enter) and performances by Gatja and Catharsis.

Admission is $5 for zombies / $7 for the living (ages 13+). Children ages 5 and under get in for free and it’s $3 admission for children ages 6-12.

Visalia really knows how to do zombie! The turnout was creepy-good. 300+ zombies shuffled in, ate blood-red pizzas, danced, nodded, rocked and rolled to multiple bands – what a sight! Glad to have made the journey to witness it. Thanks for the heads up. More to come, I'm sure!
