Dead Love is headed for New Orleans, famous for voodoo, zombies, and cities of the dead. It’s also the home of the Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society and the Words and Music Festival. Dead Love was short-listed as a finalist in the Faulkner-Wisdom Literary Competition in 2007, and it’s quite possible that without that burst of affection from the powers that govern the home of legendary Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, it would have been consigned to a premature burial.
So, in a way, Dead Love comes home. It’s a literary feast in New Orleans. Hearts will beat like drums. Sparks will fly. Thanks will be given. And glasses will be raised!
