Dead Love: Kids Attack Zombies

“Honey, I pranked the kids.”

Mean and funny and socially loaded, call it a training video for the Zombie Apocalypse, or maybe it’s a statement about fear and violence and how to change little angels into little monsters. So Japanese to make the horror real. Well, it kind of is, isn’t it? Isn’t it the state we are always suspended in? Something to think about. That fear-fight-think-maybe-even-laugh factor is what makes this one of my favorite videos. I have to give a thankful bow to the terribly lively  ZIA member who sent it my way. Domo!

We can all have a huge laugh at ultra-scary things, when we know they won’t actually destroy us. There are studies about how a smile uses the same muscles as a rictus of fear. My grin was ratcheted up like the Joker’s as I watched this. Definitely, viewing fodder for Halloween—the zombie season!

Trick or treat? You decide. Maybe a bit of both? I especially love that it is in Japanese with little dialogue balloons!
