Dead Love: Horror Film and Another Hole in the Head

I’d be really remiss if I didn’t remind you that the “Another Hole in the Head Film Festival” started a few days ago at the Roxie and Viz Theaters with a super slate of big-budget independent horror, sci-fi, fantasy, weird dark comedy and what-not.

The films come from all over the world—Japan, Serbia, Thailand, India, other parts of the U.S. and, of course, our own Bay Area. Movies this week include Nightmares in Red, The Violent Kind, Yatterman, The Ferocious Few, Fake Your Own Death, Murder of Lilies, Death Valley High, Satan Hates You, Samurai Princess, Silent Night, Strigoi, Grotesque, Shadow, Vampire Girl, Death Kappa, Lady Terminator, Dead and the Damned, American Grindhouse and more. The festival runs for three weeks and culminates in an audience vote for “best of show.”

You might say, San Francisco needs one more film festival like Another Hole in the Head. And there it is: darkly perfect.
