Dead Love: Hell, Yeah, Hellektro/God Module

Today, a little hellektro or aggrotech and the electro-industrial sound of God Module. Definitely music to zone in and out to … in an angry, pissed-off-at-humans-who-have-messed-things-up way.

The band was founded in 1999 and consists of Jasyn Bangert (vocals, synth, programming), Courtney Bangert (vocals, live keyboards), and Byron C. Miller (vocals, live keyboards). Somewhere along the way they lost founding member Andrew Ramirez (vocals, synth, programming). God Module releases include Artificial, Empath, Viscera and Let’s Go Dark. The Magic In My Heart Is Dead was released in 2010.

There are some things that we can’t explain
Why we didn’t die when we died that day
But one thing I know that’s true
Is forever I’ll be with you
Holding your hand while our bodies decay
I’ll be by your side as we waste away
Eating brains by the light of the moon
Forever I’ll be with you …

—God Module, “Corpses (A Zombie Love Song)

—Erin Orison, DEAD LOVE/the Daily Slice

The lyrics are so zombie – almost romantic. The music fits too – driving enough to recharge a deadened zombie brain. And so the head bob accompanies the stagger into brain-love euphoria.
