Dead Love: Creep

Another message from Clément. I keep finding these with little notes addressed to me: “Be Mine,” “What a Ghoul Wants,” “How He Fell for You,” “Love and Death.” Clément likes this song and no wonder—he could have written it. But he didn’t. It’s by British rock band, Radiohead.

Creep, released in 1992, as a single, didn’t become a real hit until the band came out with Pablo Honey, their debut album, in 1993. I do like Thom Yorke’s vocals and Jonny Greenwood’s guitar, then there’s all that melodramatic weirdo angst … well, I can see why it appeals to Clément. Listen.

Creep

I don’t care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I’m not around
You’re so fucking special
I wish I was special

What a haunting yet perfectly suited Slice for Clement. It pulls me deeper into your story and broadens my vistas to the world's story simultaneously. Such a skill…
