Dead Love: Bozeman Zombie Walk

No dozing in Bozeman, the fifth largest city in Montana, this weekend … because on Saturday, July 17th, the zombies walk.

Yes, indeed, even up in the beautiful Gallatin Valley, one-time stomping grounds of the Shoshone, Nez Perce, Blackfeet, Sioux, Flathead and Crow Nation, the undead are on the lurch. Zombies will meet at the corner of Rouse Avenue and Main Street and walk to Grand Avenue. Activities include a costume contest with prizes for kids and adults to be held in the Emerson ballroom from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

According to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, the lively corpse bride behind this staggering movement is 24-year-old Jessi Sparkman, a lover of horror films and zombie chorus lines. It seems she was inspired by the Ontario zombie walk and that means Thea Munster.

Thanks to my Big Sky zombie-pal, Nancy, for spreading the news. Jessi, you rock … or rot … oh, you know what I’m saying.
